The Fiat Lux is Alfred University's student-run newspaper. Their website shared the school's 'Innovation Award' with three other clubs in February 2009. Left-click designed and developed the site.
The site allows the paper's staff members to login to create and edit articles with no knowledge of programming necessary. Staff may attach flash video, images and add links to related articles to each submission with ease.
The paper's editor-in-chief has special privileges allowing him to manage the site's users. He can also publish articles onto the front page or other sections of the website.
TheFiatLux.com also allows visitors to create accounts so they can make comments on articles.
